Blackberry Simulator / Device setup


For Blackberry Simulator:
  • Install JDE from (http://us.blackberry.com/developers/javaappdev/javadevenv.jsp ) to the default location. Usually it is C:\program files\research in motion. ( Windows XP)
For Blackberry Desktop Manager:
  •  Install Blackberry Desktop Manager from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/ to default location. Usually it is C:\program files\research in motion.  (Windows XP)
Build testing on device/emulator:-

  • Once the application is developed then it can be tested on emulator.
  • If the application is using restricted APIs then before deploying on device it must get signed.
  • For running the application on emulator signing is not required.
  • Signing certificate can be received by sending a request to RIM for specific Keys.

  • It only lacks Cellular capacity.

  • iPad  is a portable device  for audio-visual media including books, periodicals, movies, music, games, and web content designed and marketed by Apple. 
  • It support to Cellular capacity for GPRS and 3G services (Hardware Dependent).

What is iTunes?  
  • iTunes is a media player computer program, used for playing, downloading, and organizing digital music and video files on desktop computers.
  • It manage contents on iPod, iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, you need iTunes to transfer any data like application, music etc which you want to your devices from computer.
